A Good Wife Knows her Place...

Last Saturday, my aunts hosted my first bridal shower. I really wanted a 50's housewife theme shower and it turned out FANTASTIC!! Out of all 60 or so people that came pretty much everyone dressed up! Everyone looked fabulous! June "Cleaver" and Rosie the Riveter even made an appearance!

I made most of the decorations and, not to toot my own horn, but they were totally presh!

The week of the shower, I was really sick. Like fever and booger central! So I wasn't eating much all week (lost 5 pounds!) and I didn't eat the day of the shower...which was a terrible mix with the three LARGE glasses of wine I had! I was just SO nervous about opening gifts in front of 50-60 people. I have to admit that I had practiced with mom for about two weeks my gift opening skills. Even at montereys, I pretended the bag of chips was a gift! I sucked so bad!! So it really just made my jitters that much more intense! I mean I couldn't even show my enthusiasm for a fresh batch of tortilla chips! What was a girl to do?! Well...my plan was wine. Lots and lots of wine. So between an empty stomach and all the wine, I was 50's Housewife Lush! Then I go to open my presents and NO ONE paid any attention to me...not that I'm complaining but I totally freaked out for nothing!

I don't think I was the only one that was over served!!

I was so happy that pretty much everyone showed up! I felt so loved!

After the 6 hour shower, we had ALL had plenty wine time!

Can I bring my dog?

I checked my email today and got my Wedding Report from one of the many wedding websites that has my email. I read this:

There are now 2 months , 3 weeks and 2 days until your wedding.

Umm what was that?? TWO months??? Oh. My. God. What happened to 2 years 6 months and 3 weeks?! Time is flying! In the blink of an eye I will be walking down the aisle and the three years of planning will be over. No more bridal shows, no more miniscule, mind-numbing decisions, and no more guests lists. No more guests lists? Oh, yes! No more guests lists!! No more "Am I invited?" "Is my 3 month old invited?" "Can I bring my dog?" Oh, yes...I think I can get used to this!!
