So to keep all of our wonderful guests on the same page, we (well I) created a website for our wedding.
LauraAndBrian.com Easy enough, right? Of course, we have to pay for it to be that easy but whatev...you only get married once right? So in the Extra Info section, I wanted to include something that really emphasized the very strict No Kids rule but without sounding like a total meanie! So I started on a poem idea that took a nasty, yet humorous, turn! I just had to share my Show-No-Mercy poem so here it is:
Whether you think it’s right or wrong
Our wedding is not where your kids belong
We hope to avoid tantrums and whining
And let the adults enjoy dancing and dining
It’s our night to party with, you, dear friend
It’s just your kids we don’t want to attend
You may think this is harsh, mean, or cruel
But it’s our day and our money you crazy fool!
Makes me laugh! Hope no one gets offended by this...it's purely out of humor!
So after get THAT out of my system I came up with this:
Thank you for sharing in our big day
But we have one request for you, if we may
We hope this doesn’t take much persuasion
To not bring your kiddos to this occasion
It’s not that we don’t love all your little guys
But we feel having them at our wedding seems unwise
We hope our request isn’t too demanding
And that it is received with understanding
So get ready to celebrate our special day
We’ll eat, drink, and dance the night away.
Hopefully this one will be taken well (and seriously!)
Can't believe how quickly this wedding is approaching! AAAHHH!!
