The Gun that Gifts!

Last week, Brian and I started our registry! A little early but another check off the to do list. We started at Macy's and were immediately overwhelmed!

They gave us a oh-so-long list of things we "need." The list was intense! Fine china, casual china, serving ware, knives, towels, sheets, trash cans, appliances, on and on and on! It was like a never ending list of housewares! And who really needs crystal candlesticks!

We even felt some guilt asking people to buy ALL of this stuff for us. By the the time we went around the entire 2nd floor of Macy's, we had registered for about 4 things!

We decided we might as well head to Bed Bath and Beyond and start that registry as well. Unfortunately, we had to deal with Captain Crazy at the registry counter. After she scolded us for registering at Macy's, she tried to talk us out of "expensive" plates but said we shouldn't buy the cheap stuff (not leaving many options, lady!). Brian and I sprinted out of the china section in order to leave this KooKoo Bird behind! We were feeling a little less guilty and little more greedy at the BB&B! We were shooting that gun at every other price tag. Towels: Bing! Chip Bowl: Bing! Cake plate: Bing! Cow creamer: Bing! Bing! (definitely need two cow creamers!)

When we came home, we check out our registries online and changed pretty much everything we had spent the whole day doing! And the Macy's registry...no longer had just 4 things on it! After about a week of adding and deleting things, I think we have a pretty good registry! I know everyone that looks at it will think I'm nutso but whatev. Just because I want FOUR stands plates doesn't make me too crazy, right?!

Bridal Party Party

Last night was the night of my long awaited Bridal Party Party. I had been preparing all the details for nearly 6 months now! I know, I know, I have no life. The theme was Diamond's are a girls best friend/ Laura & Co so, of course, Marilyn was there to greet everyone!

The dessert table was highlighted by the bridal party mini cakes. Everyone had a little cake of themselves! So cute! Jill's mini cake was the most excited (which was made obvious by her very big, very enthusiastic smile!). In real life, however, Jilly was probably the least excited to be at this oh-so-over-the-top themed bridal party party! I also made engagement ring cookies and Tiffany blue dresses, shoes, and box shaped cookies...lucky for me I got a new kitchen aid!!! Ahhhh....the dream has been fulfilled.

The gift table! Everyone got their own bottle of wine with labels that I had printed that said "Go Ahead...Wine a little!" In their black totes that I ironed on rhinestone letters, I put their bridal party folder, a wine glass with their name on it (which were only $4 each!), and a ring box with a bling ring. Bridesmaids also got super cute diamond wine toppers that mom and I bought almost a year ago! Yep, we're definitely nuts!

All the lovely ladies were in attendance...including my Aunt Diane (aka the lady who gave me a kitchenaid) who showed up in a Mardi Gras mask and a little girls hat, always making an entrance! (I've been forbidden to post that picture!)

After the party, some of the girls stayed over. We stayed up to the ridiculous hour of 3:00 am playing Just Dance on the Wii and singing karaoke. Luckily, we had Joey to grace us with her angelic voice.

We had such a good time! It was good to see Kelly and Joey, both whom I hadn't seen since November. And both really added to the dancing fun! Courtney and Stacy are always fun, too! But I see those bitches all the time! :)

Laura and Co

As of last week, everyone got their Bridal Party Party invitations! I think they are pretty cute myself! Simple, but cute. The theme is kind of a Tiffany & Co (or Laura & Co for the party!) and Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend mix. I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time on this party so let's hope that next Saturday goes off without a hitch!
